The start of a brand new era -LFc & HSBC

On the first day of their sponsorship deal with Liverpool FC, Standard Chartered Chairman John Peace pens a letter to Reds fans all over the world.

Dear Liverpool supporters,

Today we're thrilled to celebrate the official start of Standard Chartered's sponsorship of Liverpool Football Club.  We've eagerly anticipated this day for nearly a year, and the excitement has been building amongst the 75,000 people who work for Standard Chartered across the globe.

Many Standard Chartered employees are passionate football fans, and some are lifelong Liverpool supporters. Yours is the most successful team in the history of English football, with a truly spectacular and international fan base, and we are very proud to have our name on your shirts.
